In many respects, this remote region comes across as a kind of living museum, supporting around two dozen different tribes, some numbering tens of thousands, others a few hundred.

The Omo Valley is one of the most culturally diverse regions in Ethiopia, home to several indigenous tribes with unique traditions and lifestyles. Turmi Lodge

Turmi lodge, which is located at the heart of Hamer People is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy your visit. The surrounding beautiful scenery and the green vegetation in the compound will add a fresh touch for your travel. The Lodge has 34 Furnished rooms each with beautiful bathrooms, or if your plan is to spend the night under the clear sky in the wilderness, Turmi provides tents as well. The restaurant is decorated with traditional crafts, making for an atmospheric setting.

Buska Lodge

Buska Lodge offers 22 rooms with private bath facilities, mosquito netting and sunrise terraces. The lodge offers two restaurants, one serving European cuisine and the other serving local Ethiopian cuisine. Meals are based on a standard menu or buffet style for larger groups. The bar in one restaurant offers traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony. The lodge offers a variety of massage and relaxation services, as well as the possibility for an outdoor Evangadi dance demonstration on request.

Kanta Lodge 

Kanta Lodge is a comfortable new lodge in Konso. Staff are friendly, the rooms are comfortable and the views from the restaurant and terrace magnificent. Rooms are traditional round tukuls with en-suite bathrooms.
