Tribes of South Omo

In many respects, this remote region comes across as a kind of living museum, supporting around two dozen different tribes, some numbering tens of thousands, others a few hundred.

The Omo Valley is one of the most culturally diverse regions in Ethiopia, home to several indigenous tribes with unique traditions and lifestyles. Located in the southwestern part of the country, the valley offers visitors a chance to experience the rich cultural heritage of the tribes, including the Hamar, Mursi, and Karo. The Omo Valley is a fascinating destination for those interested in anthropology, culture, and photography.
