Film Permit

All foreign media and production teams require official filming permission issued by the Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority (EBA). This includes:

• Foreign Media Accreditation: All international crews must first obtain foreign media accreditation from the EBA. This is then approved by the Ethiopian Embassy in your country of origin.
• Official Agent Assignment: Once your project is confirmed, simply provide a letter assigning Grand Holidays Ethiopia as your official agent. Our experienced film fixers will take care of the rest, handling all paperwork, approvals, and follow-up.

All crew members must apply for a Journalist Visa through their nearest Ethiopian embassy. Grand Holidays Ethiopia will provide:

• A formal letter of invitation
• Guidance on required documents
• Support in expediting the visa approval process (typically 3–4 weeks)

We recommend applying well in advance to avoid delays.

Upon permit approval, the Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority issues a letter to the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport customs office for equipment import.

To process your customs clearance, we require:

• A detailed list of equipment
• Serial numbers and values
• A company letterhead submission
